Francis D. Witroski, 71, Superior resident, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 12, 1944 in Superior, WI to Alvin and Regina (Rutkoski) Witroski.
He graduated from high school and was the maintenance man for Hammond Spur in Superior.
Francis was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church. He was a member the Polish Club and past president of the Moose Lodge #606.
He liked to work with wood, work in his garden and spend time with his grandchildren.
Francis is survived by one daughter, Wendy (Bruce) Brown, Maple, WI; one son, Brian Witroski, Superior, WI; four grandchildren, Brady and Morgan Brown, Breanna Witroski and Michael Voss; one brother, John Witroski, Superior, WI and one niece, Kim Chalfen, Minneapolis, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King Church officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
Pallbearers for the service will be Bruce Brown, Johnny Peterson, Daryl Warring, John Witroski, Jerry Carlson and Kevin Dalbec.
