Frank T. Juno

April 11, 1952 — October 29, 2011

Frank T. Juno, 59, resident of Minong, WI and employed forty years at the BNSF Railroad Office as a Clerk and then as a Train Master, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN with his loving family by his side.

Frank was born in Portland, OR on April 11, 1952 to Frank and Betty Juno.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Juno, Sr.

Frank is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Margaret “Guppie”; mother, Betty Juno; stepmother, Mona Juno; three children, Christopher Juno, Tami (Richard) Semborski and Danielle (Joel) Ylinen; two stepchildren, Shannon and Joe Hartson; brothers, Steve, Tim, Mark and James Juno; stepsister, Heidi Karshbaum; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Frank was the lead guitarist in the local band “Realms of Time” during his high school years.

He was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church.


He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed trips with his father to The Pas and the Northern Lights Lake in Canada. There were many fond memories of spending time at Dan Kurtz’s hunting cabin with all of his friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior with a Scripture service to be held at 6:30 PM.

Visitation will resume at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2011 in Holy Assumption Catholic Church and continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass with Rev. Fr. Ronald Olson as celebrant.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Murray, Larry Mattison, Kurt Johnson, Joseph Zuck, Erick Flood and Dave Larson.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN.

Frank had a humorous way of looking at life and a quick wit. He will be missed by many.
