Frank D. Neuman, 87, a lifelong Superior resident, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 01, 2015 in his residence. He was born on May 22, 1927 in Superior to Frank and Eleanor (Bergstrom) Neuman.
Frank graduated from the former Central High School in 1945.
He served his country in the United States Navy.
Frank attended the former Superior State Teacher’s College, Dunwoody Institute and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1951.
Frank married Gloria Hammerbeck on July 21, 1951 and would have celebrated almost 64 years of marriage.
Frank joined his father in the family business of Neuman Automotive in 1951 and retired as owner/operator in October of 1994.
Frank was a longtime active member of the former First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for many years and currently a longtime active member of United Presbyterian Church. He was also a former member of the Superior Jaycees and the Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his wife Gloria, Frank is survived by two daughters, Debra K. Neuman, California, Nori L. (William “Bill”) Ferris, Superior; one granddaughter, Jessica Ferris and two great-grandchildren, Lily Mae and Logan William Ferris.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at United Presbyterian Church and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service with Pastor Joel Huenemann, officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded at the church by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
Should friends desire memorials may be made to United Presbyterian Church.
