Frederick “Fred” Lehman, 72, longtime Lake Nebagamon area resident, formerly of North St. Paul, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN, surrounded by his family. He was born in St. Paul, MN, December 31, 1947, the son of Walter and Mary (Maier) Lehman.
He was united in marriage to Annette Sieber on March 6, 1970 and they celebrated forty-nine years of marriage before his passing.
Most recently, he worked as an inspector for Enbridge for many years before his retirement. Prior to that he worked as a supervisor at the Graymont Limestone plant in Superior.
Fred was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting whitetails. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish and be outdoors. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and participating in family events, such as t-ball, and youth wrestling at Northwestern School.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette Lehman, Lake Nebagamon, WI; daughters, Jennifer (Aaron) Stein-Hauptman, of Virginia, and Katherine Lehman, Lake Nebagamon, WI: sons, Nick (Alex) Lehman, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and Luke (Mandy) Lehman, Lake Nebagamon, WI; grandchildren, Anna, Julia and Payton; sisters, Carol (Jim) Wicks, Mary Kay Lehman, and Rita (Gene) Leslie; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 th Street, Superior, with a Time of Remembrance to begin at 1:30 PM.
