Fredrick D. Johnson

Fredrick D. Johnson, 77, longtime Lake Nebagamon area resident, died Thursday, June 3, 2016 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Range, WI. He was born in Superior, WI on April 9, 1939, the son of David and Mabel (Lidberg) Johnson.

Fredrick married Patricia Johnson on December 8, 1958 and had recently celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.

He served his county in the National Guard.

Fredrick was owner / operator of D. L. Johnson and Son’s contracting company with his brothers for many years and
later on he owned FDJ’s Construction.

Besides his grandchildren, Fred enjoyed his skidster, taking the dogs for rides and stopping at the Covered Wagon.

Fred is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, Terry Johnson, Superior, WI; two daughters, Lou Ann (Jeff) Erickson, Andover, MN and Brenda (Mark) Anderson, South Range, WI; four grandchildren, Noah and Rami Erickson, Kristina (David Tiege ) Anderson and Kaylyn Anderson; one brother, Roger (Betty) Johnson, Lake Nebagamon, WI; two sisters, Audrey (Don) Wright, CA and Jeanie (Jack) Kallinen, Lake Nebagamon, WI and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wallace, Russ, Wayne and Lester Johnson and sisters Lucille Winka and Marjorie Mattson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Middle River Health & Rehab for their wonderful care they gave to Fred.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Lake Nebagamon Presbyterian Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI and continue until the 12:00 Noon Funeral Service with Pastor Richard Blood, officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
