Fredrick Raymond Kost, 64, sadly passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born on December 16, 1948 to Elmer and Marion Kost.
He worked throughout his life as a semi driver, construction worker and a welder.
Fred was a loving father. He enjoyed the woods and wildlife of his Brimson cabin home and also had a deep love for the mountains in Arizona.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Jasmine Kost, Superior, WI; his son, Joseph Kost, Anoka, MN; four grandsons, Landon, Layne, Michael and Matthew; several brothers, sisters, nieces, especially and one very special niece, Irene Miner, Superior, WI, who was by his side until the very end and nephews and many close friends who cared for him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Destiny; sisters Tootsie and Pattie; his parents Elmer and Marion.
Fred was loved by many and will be missed always.
As Fred would say, “Good-nuck ole-shluck. Love you very much.”
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior and continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Service with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
The Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
