Gene P. Johnson

Gene Philip “Phil” Johnson, 47, longtime resident of Superior, WI, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN with family by his side.

He was born in Duluth on June 24, 1976.

Phil graduated high school and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

He enjoyed working with computers in coding and programming for many years.

Phil was a simple man who appreciated solitude. He enjoyed the quiet and stillness of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and 4-wheeling. He also found peace and happiness in playing the guitar and listening to music.

Per Phil’s wishes, no services will be held.
