George E. Bunnell

George E. Bunnell, 76, lifelong area resident, died Monday, April 6, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born in Superior, WI, July 20, 1943 the son of John and Alice (Williams) Bunnell.

George was united in marriage to Arlene Lorimor; they recently celebrated forty-nine years together before his passing.

He worked as a clerk at VP Wild Rice Stand in Superior.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene; daughters, Terri Bunnell, Proctor, MN, Nanette (Erik) Halvorson, Lake Nebagamon, WI; Tina (Scott Miller) Bunnell, Superior, WI, and Tami Liable; sons, George Bunnell Jr. and Carl Bunnell, both of Maple, WI; four grandchildren, Amanda Haugen, Scott Waara, Kyle Vandell, Cody Thompson, and Aaron Johnson; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Tucker, Lillith, Kai and Destiny; sisters, Rosie (Ed) Stokes, and Susie (Dennis) Laaksonen; and brothers, John, Ron, Charlie, Dan, Dennis and Paul Bunnell.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two infant siblings.

A Celebration of George’s Life will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, August 9, 2021, at the Maple Town Hall, 11037 US-2, Maple, WI.
