Gerald L. Johnson

Gerald L. “Jerry” Johnson, 77, lifelong resident of Superior, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born on July 31, 1946, in Superior, the son of Leonard and Edna (Kettleson) Johnson.

He was a graduate of Superior Senior High School and worked in maintenance for North Central Foods for many years. He was also a member of Labor Local 1050.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Lynn Marie Johnson, Superior and Julie Ann Johnson, Westby, WI; sisters Barbara (Neil) Liljander, Eau Claire, WI, Kay (Juel) Staven, Superior, and Linda Sharp, Pattison Park; brother Tom (Linda) Johnson, Town of Superior; and longtime dear friend Michelle Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Joyce Sutton; and brother Jack Johnson.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, with Gary Banker officiating.
