Gerald Lee Peterson

Gerald Lee Peterson (64) longtime Superior, WI resident, died Saturday, April 1, 2023 at his home. He was born May 6, 1958 to Donald and Ida Mae (Shaul) Peterson in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

Gerald honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed carpenter and had worked for Jack Links. He was caretaker for his mother for several years until her death in 2023. He also helped friends who needed a lift by driving them to appointments.

Gerald enjoyed keeping busy working on small engines and woodworking projects. The Green Bay Packers was “his” team, and he loved watching old Westerns. A warm and generous man, he will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He survived by his sister, Catherine (Gregory) Hunter, Superior; brother, Frank (Susan) Peterson, Superior; niece Jennifer (Chad) Bryant, Saginaw, MN; and nephews Jeremy (Jodi) Hunter, Maryland, DE, and Donald Peterson, Eau Claire, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ida Mae Peterson.

A family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, WI at a later date.
