Geraldine A. Deniswicz

Geraldine A. “Geri” Deniswicz, 82, of Superior, WI, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at home with the Love of her family surrounding her.

Geri was born on June 7, 1940, in Superior to Bill Sr. and Theresa (Bendis) Gotelaere.

Geri grew up in Superior and graduated from Superior Central High School.

Geri married the Love of her life, Edward R. “Ed” Deniswicz on May 23, 1959, and they celebrated nearly 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2014.

Geri was blessed with being a Wife, Mother, and Grandmother as a homemaker her entire life, and these were the most important roles in her life. She especially enjoyed her two grandchildren, Kayla, and Mitchell, and played a very active role in their lives and was considered, by them, the best Grandma ever in the world.

Geri along with her husband, Grandpa Ed, spent as much time with them as they could since they were born. They went on vacations literally all across the United States, North, South, East and West. She participated in and supported them in many school and sporting events, and never missed a single holiday or birthday their entire life. She also very much enjoyed shopping, baking, and cooking with them. Spoiling them as a grandma would. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. We could not have asked for a more perfect Wife, Mom, and Grandma.

She is survived by her son Mark and his wife Kimberly, and her grandchildren Kayla and Mitchell.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George Gotelaere and Bill Gotelaere Jr. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Joe Gotelaere, and sister Margarite (Gotelaere) Halvorson.

There will be a private Memorial Service at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church officiating.
