Germaine M. Neve Noonan

Germaine M. Neve Noonan, 94, lifelong Superior resident, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 1, 1924 in Superior, WI to Sylver and Anna (La Perre) Neve. She married William Noonan on December 19, 1946 and celebrated 48 years of marriage before his passing on December 5, 1995.

She was a member of St. Anthony Church and served as an usher, Belgian Club Ladies Auxiliary and the East End Senior Citizens Club. Her most favorite holiday was Christmas. For over thirty years she was one of Santa's helpers and brought joy to many young friends and relatives.

Germaine is survived by three sons, Jerry Noonan, Poplar, WI, Jeffery Noonan, Blueberry, WI and Thomas Noonan, Superior, WI; two daughters, Carla Noonan (Ed Griswold), Coeur D'Alene, ID and Barbara (Ron) De Fore, Lake Havasu City, AZ; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers James, Gerard, George and Raymond and her sisters, Margaret and Mary, her grandson Grant Noonan; and beloved friend Steve Stromko.

A Memorial Mass will be Friday, June 21 ^st at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 4315 E. Third Street in Superior with visitation at 9:30 until 10:30 the time of the service. Rev. Fr. Lee Flaherty will celebrate the Mass.
