Glenn Haslerud

Glenn Haslerud, 94, of Duluth, MN passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors, MN. He was born October 6, 1926 in Peterson, MN to Albert and Esther (Larsen) Haslerud. He was a Navy veteran of WW2 serving in the Pacific as a radioman.

He was employed by Soo Line Railroad as Agent and Telegrapher, manager of the Soo Line Credit Union-Superior, WI, and the Duluth Co-op Credit Union, Duluth, MN, and Loan-Collection Officer of Superior Community Credit Union, Superior, WI. In retirement, he spent many years in Englewood, FL. He was a member of Ancient Landmark Masonic Lodge #210 (66 years)-Ashland and Iron River, WI, Scottish Rite-Duluth, MN, Superior Shrine Club, Superior, WI, Aad Shrine Temple, Duluth, MN, Sons of Norway, Superior, WI, and Order of the Eastern Star.

He was married to the former Dorothy Zawacki and is survived by daughters Marian of Minneapolis, MN, Robin Wigchers of Superior, WI, sons Charles (Barbara) of Duluth, MN, Mark of Superior, WI and Laurence of Bloomington, MN and sister Adeline Ungerman of Virginia Beach, VA, granddaughters Heather (Mike) Shetka, Kathryn (Eric) Johnson, Alysa Haslerud, grandsons Chet (Kaylee) Haslerud, Patrick Nelson (Alyssa Rydberg), great-granddaughters Gabriella and Josephine Shetka, Olivia and Kendall Johnson and great grandson Derek Haslerud.

He was preceded in death by his friend and former wife Dorothy, daughter Barbara and son Glenn, Jr., granddaughter Jessica Nelson, daughter-in-law Bernelle Haslerud, brothers Walter, Francis, Daniel, Milton, Paul and sister Ethel Clark.

Private family services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Flowers and cards may be sent in c/o Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior, WI 54880, who is assisting the family with arrangements.

A public memorial service will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2021 and burial will take place at Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth, MN at that time.
