Gloria Jeanne Wickstrom

Gloria Jeanne Wickstrom, 79, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN. She was born to Chris and Helen (Carlson) Ramel on August 24, 1943 in Superior, WI.

Gloria graduated from Superior Central High School in 1961. In April of 1964 she married David Wickstrom. Together they raised their daughter, Chris, and celebrated 58 years of matrimony. She most recently worked for Perkins as a bookkeeper.

Gloria enjoyed her flower gardens and working in them in the summertime. However, Fridays were reserved for going to rummage sales with her grandchildren, Maddy and Matt, and searching for what treasures they could find.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center ICU and Cardiology department nurses and doctors for their kindness, compassion, and exceptional hard work in caring for Gloria during her final days.

Gloria is survived by her husband, David Wickstrom, Superior; daughter Chris (John) Adolphson, Superior; grandchildren Madison and Matthew Adolphson; step-grandchildren, Jessi (Tom) Gauthier and Chrissy (Aden) Frank; brother, Richard (Bonnie) Ramel, Superior; sister Helen Ramel, Philadelphia, PA; nephew Donald (Heather) Ramel; and her traveling buddy and best friend, Carol Compton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Helen Ramel, and nephew Erick Ramel.

Graveside Service will take place at 10:30 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 11704 Cemetery Rd in Solon Springs, on Monday, May 22, 2023 with Pastor John Flemming officiating.
