Gordon C. Everett, 89, Duluth, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Abbott NW Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
He was born on April 6, 1923 in International Falls, MN to Harold and Ruth (Williams) Everett.
Gordon graduated from Denfeld High School. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII in the Philippines Pacific Arena. He worked for the DMIR Railroad in the payroll/accounting department for thirty-eight years retiring in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Steven P. and Brad Everett, both of Duluth, MN; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Burton, Bridgette, Grant and Gina and ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Everett, Duluth, MN and many nieces and nephews and his first wife, Janine Geard, Duluth, MN.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy Everett and sister Betty Wisen.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1710 E. Superior Street, Duluth with Rev. Bill Van Oss officiating.
Burial will be in Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
