Gordon Larson, Superior resident, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 4, 2016. He was born on July 31, 1917 in Gladstone MI to Axle and Ester (Wickman) Larson.
Gordon graduated from high school in Gladstone and attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He was a railroad car foreman on the Soo Line Railroad for many years.
He was an active member of Ogden Avenue Baptist Church (Bayside Baptist) for over 60 years. Gordon enjoyed hunting and fishing and the outdoors, spending summers with family in Upper Michigan at "Camp". He lived independently at home and accomplished many feats from his electric scooter and riding lawn mower that most could not imagine.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dagne, his parents, sister Lillian and brothers Leonard and Lloyd "Lars".
Gordon is survived by daughter, Janice (John) Hammerbeck, Henderson, NV; three sons, Dan (Thu) Larson, Summerfield FL , Rob ( Diane) Larson, Cambridge, MN, Tom (Roxanne) Larson, Superior, WI.; ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren; three sisters, Leone Larson, Joyce (Jerry) Onufrock and Elizabeth Harvey.
A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Gordon's life will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM in the Bayside Baptist Church, 3925 N 15th St Superior.
