Gregg T. Kortesma

Gregg T. Kortesma, 45, Unalaska, AK, and formerly of Maple, WI, passed away September 12, 2016 in Unalaska from injuries sustained in a fall. He was born December 19, 1970 in Superior, WI to Terrance and Saundra (Martin) Kortesma.

Gregg graduated in 1989 from Northwestern High School, attended W.I.T.C., and began commercial fishing in Alaska; his work in the Alaskan Fishing Industry allowed him to experience the outdoors, the sea, and many travel experiences.

Preceded in death were paternal grandparents, John and Helen Kortesma, and maternal grandparent, Katherine Hallam Martin.

Gregg is survived by his parents, Terrance and Saundra Kortesma, Maple, WI; one brother, Mark (Kirsten) Kortesma, Duluth, MN; aunts and uncles i nclude Denette (Bruce) Dasinger, Niantic, CT; Edward (Colleen) Martin, Duluth, MN; Steve (Marsha) Martin, Goleta , CA; also several cousins.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, Poplar, WI, and continue until the 12:00 PM Memorial Service
with Pastor John Knierim officiating. Private family interment will occur at Pine Glade Cemetery in Oulu, WI.
