Gregory M. Hanson

Gregory Melvin Hanson, 74 of Superior, WI, died unexpectantly, Thursday, June 15, 2023, at home. Greg was born on September 29, 1948, to Melvin “Red” Hanson & Lilly MacDonald.

Greg served honorably in the Army and worked a variety of jobs in the twin ports area until his retirement from his favorite employer, V.I.P. in Superior.

He is survived by his four children, Pam (Mike) O’Konek, John (Tina) Hanson, Glen (Heidi) Hanson and Melinda Gajewski (Lee Black); siblings, Matt, Beth, and Michael; and his beloved 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Rebecca, Diane, Joyce, and his Son-in-Law Dick Gajewski, and his beloved wife of 47 years, Pamela.

A Celebration of Life luncheon for Greg will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 26, 2023, at V.I.P. restaurant, 1201 Tower Avenue in Superior, WI. In honor of Greg, please wear your favorite blue jeans to his celebration.

Greg will be buried, with his wife Pamela, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Duluth, MN.
