Gregory L. Lind, 55, Maple, passed away unexpectedly due to complications of diabetes on Monday, November 30, 2015.
He was born on September 1, 1960 in Salina, KS to Larry and Joyce (Granstrom) Lind.
He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1978 and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics from UW Eau Claire.
He studied in Sweden for a year and spent a lot of time studying the culture and language. He was interpreter for many people that needed letters translated.
Greg was an avid hunter and golfer. He was a sports enthusiast and a fan of all Wisconsin sports teams. The most important aspects in his life were his devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and his children.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he taught adult Sunday school and served as a trustee and chairman of the finance committee.
Greg was employed as an accountant for various businesses for the past 25 years, the last 15 was with St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
Greg is survived by two daughters, Britta and Lita Lind, Brule, WI; his parents; two brothers, Keith (Wanda) Lind, Maple, WI, Brian (Margo) Lind, Lake Nebagamon, WI; one sister, Rhonda (Joel) Graff, Iron River, WI; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Esther Granstrom and his paternal grandparents, Reino and Beulah Lind.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2015 and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Service at Grace Baptist Church in Iron River, WI with Pastor Thomas Blomberg, officiating.
