Harvey Duane Erickson
February 18, 1951 — October 1, 2015
Harvey Duane Erickson, 64, longtime Superior and Duluth area resident, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at home following a lengthy battle with COPD.
He was born on February 18, 1951 in Superior, the son of Harvey C and Ada Belle (Hanson) Erickson.
He graduated from Superior Senior High School, Superior, WI.
Harvey was employed by the Human Development Center in Duluth.
He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior; the Proctor Moose Lodge, 1302; the Superior Men’s Bowlers Association.
Harvey also enjoyed stockcar racing.
Harvey is survived by his life partner of over thirty years, Sandra Grecinger and her son Aaron; one sister, Geraldine Hester, Illinois; one brother, Richard “Rick” Erickson, Superior, WI; one uncle, Russell (Phyllis) Erickson, Superior, WI; one aunt, Linda Coon, Olympia, Washington; one sister-in-law, Mary Jendrzejewski and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey C and Ada Belle Erickson, three brothers, Wayne, Michael and Owen.
Visitation will begin at 10:00AM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial service with Pastor Greg Gullicksrud, officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
