Helen L. Olson

Helen L. Olson, 97, lifelong Superior resident, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Harmony House in Superior.

She was born in Superior on December 17, 1917.

Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and R.S.V.P.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet (Gene) Walroos, Superior, Susan (Steve Donovan) Olson, Falls Church, VA, Linda (Lynn) Granberg, Superior; three sons, David Olson, Las Vegas, NV, Paul (Jill) Olson, Superior, Mark Olson, Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren, Cathy Hanson, Lisa (Mike Scott) Hanson, Christine (Alan) Peterson, Jennifer Olson, Kimberly (Shawn) Bender, Aaron (Roberta) Granberg, Kelly Granberg, Jeremy (Kari) Olson, Jonathan Olson, Anna Donovan, Mary Donovan and Amy Janicki; seven great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Albin and a daughter, Alice Hanson.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Helen’s grandchildren will be recognized as pallbearers.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Helen’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Harmony House and it’s staff for the wonderful care and compassion they provided Helen during her stay.
