Henry "Bud" E. Litchke

Henry “Bud” E. Litchke, 99, Superior resident, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior. He was born on April 8, 1919 in Grand Rapids, MN to Christian and Agnes (Golla) Litchke.

He graduated from the former Central High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.

Bud was the owner/operator of the former QT Liquor Store for forty-five years. He married Patricia “Pat” McCartin on July 9, 1955 and celebrated sixty-three years of marriage. Bud was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He also was a life member of the VFW Blomberg Post #847, member of the American Legion John and David Banks Post #418 and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Superior.

Bud is survived by his wife Pat; one son, Christian “Chris” (Julie) Litchke; one daughter, Marcia Geyer; three grandchildren, Zachary, Daniel and Emily Litchke, all of Superior, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ruth Cronin and Yvonne Shober.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Superior. Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.

Should friends desire, memorials made as masses to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2316 E. 4th Street, Superior, or donations to Cathedral School, 1419 Baxter Avenue, Superior, are greatly appreciated.
