Holly D. Thomas

Holly Denise Thomas, 60, resident of Superior, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in her home surrounded by family. She was born in Nashville, TN on April 20, 1964.

Holly, also known as “Mama Bear,” was a homemaker who enjoyed her karaoke nights at the Log Cabin with loved ones and friends. She loved to cook and was famous for her lasagna and cheesecake. She enjoyed collecting nik naks and creating extravagant displays for them. She also enjoyed the outdoors, soaking up the sun, making crafts, coloring, and spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her heart of gold, warm smiles, and never-ending laughter.

She is survived by her long-time companion, Frank Bixler; children Will (Danielle) Norton, Michael Kilbourn Jr., Sara Marie Ward, Deserae Bixler, Matthew Bixler, (Kaitlyn Austreng), Joshua Bixler (Shyanne Grenier), and Jeremiah Bixler; twenty-one grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other friends who she considered family.

Holly is preceded in death by her sister Gail Olson; daughter Diane Bixler; and granddaughter Sky.

A Celebration of Holly’s Life will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Billings Park Civic Center, 3903 N. 18th Street in Superior.
