Howard “Chip” Lee Severin, 65, of Superior, WI, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 15, 2021. He was born to the late Howard P. Severin and the late Delores (Korich) J. Severin, on November 25, 1955. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Johnson.
He retired from his work at the Burlington Northern Railroad and kept busy over the years with his hobbies, hunting, fishing, family and friends, the Baitbox and Metal Professionals.
A lifelong resident of Superior; Chip was known and loved by many people of all ages. He was funny, a man of many opinions, and wildly inappropriate. If you knew Chip, you KNOW. Life was always very colorful, full of jokes, funny stories, and laughter when Chip was around. Maybe there would even be a scuffle or two. Yet under his rough and tough exterior, Chip was tender-hearted and cared for many. He loved his girls, his sons-in-law, and he especially loved his grandchildren; of whom he was so incredibly proud.
He was so loved and will be greatly missed by his four daughters and his sons-in-law; Shannon and Rodney Graham, Staci and Tim Landis, Amber and Wayne French, and Amy and Mike Stenroos; his grandchildren - Kayleigh, Madelyn, Brendan, Makenzie, Madden, Amara, Carson, and Bryson; his sister and brother in law, Marilyn and Bob Gilbertson, sister in law, Sharon Johnson, sister, Debbie Severin, Cheryl Anttila and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other beloved family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the Log Cabin, 2821 S. County Rd. E, South Range, WI 54880, from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. Stop by to remember Chip, reminisce with family and friends, and share some of your memories.
Should friends desire, cards can be sent to the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, c/o Howard Severin Family, 1209 E. 5 th Street, Superior, WI 54880.
