Inger Linder, 92, longtime area resident, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation in South Range, WI. She was born in Arvika, Sweden, May 29, 1927, the daughter of Harry and Hanna Larson.
Inger was united in marriage to Bertil Karl Linder, December 24, 1944 in Saffle, Sweden. They moved to America in 1949, and they celebrated sixty-three years of marriage before his passing in 2008.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in human services from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Blaine Elementary School in Superior, for eleven years, and also as a daycare provider.
Inger was an active member of Central Assembly of God Church in Superior, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She taught and hosted good news clubs for children for many years, and she and her husband, Bertil, provided rides to children to church activities.
She is survived by her sons, John (Judy) Linder, Ron Linder, and Kent (Bonnie) Linder, all of Superior, WI; grandson, Christopher Linder; and two great-granddaughters, Madalyn and Emma Linder.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Bertil; daughter and son-in-law, Birgitta (Al) Leeper; and grandson, Nicholas Linder.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2020 at Central Assembly of God Church, 3000 Hammond Avenue, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Pastor Tom Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Superior in the Spring.
