Iver J. Hoven
August 20, 1935 — April 8, 2019
Iver J. Hoven, 83, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN with family by his side. He was born August 20, 1935 to Iver and Josie (Kirkvold) Hoven in Beltrami County, MN.
Iver served his country honorably in the United States Army. He sailed the Great Lakes as a wheelsman from 1955-1968, and retired from Burlington Northern and Sante Fe Railroad after thirty years of service. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his children, LaVail (Verle) Anderson, Jennifer (Dan) Harrison, David (Kari) Hoven, and Robert Hoven; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
