Ivy Elaine (Wolfe) King passed away peacefully on December 6, 2011 in Lake Mills, WI with family by her side.
She was born to life on February 14, 1922 in Springbrook, WI to Harland Wolfe and Myrtle Clemons and married Robert Frank King on July 4, 1938 in Plum City, WI.
Ivy was a long time resident of Superior and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was a Lector and a member of the Altar Society, serving as their Treasurer. She was also a Member of the Third Order of St. Francis and served as President of the Superior Deanery of Catholic Women.
Ivy shared her love for sewing, crafting, baking and writing with her family and friends.
Ivy devoted her life to her church and family; daughters, Joyce Driessen of Herbster, Reni (Tom) Lynch of Oshkosh, Geri (Gale) Kafka of Denver, CO and Joan (Jim) Thomas of Poplar Grove, IL; sons, Bob (Pat) King of Madison, Ron (Barb) King, Lake Mills, WI Peter (Debra) King of Waunakee and Steve (Anita) King of Duluth; 34 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2000, her son, Ron in 2006 and son-in-law Leon Kiener in 2006 and son-in-law Manny Driessen in 2011.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Superior. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Leading the celebration of Ivy’s life will be the Rev. Fr. James Tobolski.
