Jacqueline Margerite (Tyman) Eckard

Jacqueline Margerite (Tyman) Eckard, 78, longtime Superior resident died Thursday, December 8, 2016 in her home. She was born June 21, 1938 in Duluth, MN to Clement and Mary (Trettle) Tyman.

She was a graduate of Morgan Park High School. Jacqueline married Ted Eckard on July 27, 1957 and they recently celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage. She retired from the U.S. West Telephone Co. as a Facility Specialist after many years of service.

Jacqueline enjoyed cross stitching and spending winters with her husband in Florida. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ted Eckard, Superior, WI; children, Steven (Glory) Eckard, Brenda Turner, Jennifer (Pat) Lustig and Paula (Jon) Aamodt; sister Renee (Raymond) Nordman; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and her dear friend Karen Moe.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Robert Tyman.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Elmer and Dr. Plachta and St. Luke’s Hospice for their wonderful care of Jacqueline.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 and will continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Mass in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4315 E. 3rd Street, Superior with Rev. Fr. Adam Laski as celebrant. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
