James H. Coss

James H. Coss, 76, Superior resident and formerly from Michigan, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital Hospice in Duluth, MN.

He was born on May 19, 1941 in Bruce Crossing, MI to Henry and Orpha (Tulppo) Coss.

He owned and operated Aire Care HVAC - Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Company for many years.

James married Paula Peteri on September 5, 1959 and they celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.

James attended Darrow Road Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed restoring tractors, air planes and old cars.  While living in Michigan he became a pilot.

James is survived by his wife, Paula; three sons, Mark Coss, Superior, WI, Ron (Lori) Coss, Duluth, MN and Brian Coss, Wright, MN; four grandchildren, Allison, Kristin, Brandon and Cody; one brother, Robert Coss, Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Patti Coss, Houghton, MI and LuAnne Wiley, Colorado Springs, CO and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S. Darrow Rd, Superior and continue until the 3:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Mark Holmes officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Michigan at a later date.
