James E. Erickson

James E. Erickson, 85, a lifelong Superior area resident passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Aspen Health and Rehab, South Range.
He was born in Superior on April 20, 1935, the son of Erland and Lillian (Riihimaki) Erickson.

Jim graduated from Central High School in Superior. He married his sweetheart Barbara in the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on August 7, 1954. They were married for 51 years until she passed away in 2006.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Gladys (Robert) Olney; and one grandson Joshua Sznaider in 2012.

Jim is survived by his five daughters, Roberta (Dale) Taran, Duluth, Dawn (Matt) Long, Poplar, Jamie (Pat) Erickson, Aitkin, Michele (Ron) Sznaider, River Falls, and Andra (Steve) Karna, South Range; three sons, Jeffrey (LouAnn) Erickson, Nashville, David (Karoline) Erickson, Little Falls, and Chris Erickson, Superior; 16 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two nieces, and many friends.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 13, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4315 E. 3 ^rd Street, Superior, WI with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.
