James "Jim" E. Jackson

James “Jim” E. Jackson, 87, longtime Superior resident, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. He was born on February 24, 1930 in Superior, WI to Ed and Pauline (Schmidt) Jackson.

Jim worked in the maintenance department at Murphy Oil for thirty-five years retiring in 1992. He married Constance “Connie” Spear on December 19, 1953 and they recently celebrated sixty-four years of marriage. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Superior.

Jim is survived by his wife, Connie; daughter, Stacy (Karl) Brooks, Austin, NV; three grandchildren, Jenny (Joseph) Benson, Brandon Heck and Taylor Brooks and three great-grandchildren; sister, Joan (Max) Witzig, Ashland, WI and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Private family service will be held at a later date.
