Jane M. Bentley

Jane M. Bentley, 77, Superior resident, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born on February 16, 1941 in Superior, WI to Maurice and Mary (Winek) Sheasby.

She was a cook and server for the Superior School District for many years. Jane married Robert “Bob” Bentley on September 11, 1965 and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Navy Mothers, and the Women of the Moose Chapter 795. She also was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and a Sunday school teacher.

Jane is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob”; daughter, Julie (Kevin) Norbie, Superior, WI; son, Richard (Bea) Bentley, VA; grandchildren, Amanda Norbie, Jeremy (Rhonda Jo) Bentley, Benjamin Norbie and Misaki (an exchange student from Japan); sister, June Roeben, Superior, WI; sister-in-law, Gwen Brooks, Duluth, MN and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior, and continue until the 11:00 am memorial service with Pastor Will Mowchan of Pilgrim Lutheran Church officiating.
