Jane Elizabeth (Kelly) Lien

Jane Elizabeth (Kelly) Lien, 61, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her residence in Duluth, MN. She was born on May 16, 1952 in Superior to Bernard and Charlane (Clemens) Kelly.

She was a 1970 graduate of Superior Senior High School. During high school she was a Spartan Pom Pom cheerleader.

Jane went on to receive a certification as a License Practical Nurse from WITC, Superior in 1972.


Jane will be remembered as a woman who was very strong in her faith, a loving mother and family member who loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She enjoyed ice skating. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor. She enjoyed her cat Odie and her bunny Zoe.

Jane is survived by one son, Bradley (Tara) Lien, Duluth; three grandchildren, Rex, Amara and Cullin; two sisters, Marsha Mossberger, Superior, Kristi (Pete) Staffrude, Solon Springs, WI; one brother, Jeffery Kelly, Minneapolis, MN;

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Brian Kelly.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM and will continue until the 1:00 PM Memorial Service on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th St., Superior with Pastor Judd Larson of First Lutheran Church in Duluth, officiating.

Interment will be in Nemadji Cemetery, Superior.
