Janice "Jan" R. (Fillipi) Kuralle

Janice R. “Jan” Kuralle, 66, Iron River resident, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 14, 1949 in Warren, MN to Bob and Ardith (Cameron) Fillipi.

Jan married John Kuralle celebrated over thirty-five years of marriage.

Jan was the owner/operator along with her husband John of a convenience store in Lake Kabetogama for many years. She also worked for Super One in Ashland and previously at 3M for seventeen years.

Jan was a member of the Clown Club – 3M. She was an avid outdoors person and loved fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed bowling and playing softball.

Jan is survived by her husband, John; two step-daughters, Maryann French and Nancy Jo Morin; three step-sons, Michael (Donna), Stephen (Silke) and Jim Kuralle; several grandchildren and great-grandchild; siblings, Dennis (Julie) Fillipi, Faribault, MN, Shirley (Delwood) Larson, Oslo, MN and Jerald (Debbie) Fillipi, Emerado, ND, one aunt, Ruth Niemi, Mesa, AZ; nine nieces and nephews, eighteen great nieces and nephews and two great great niece and nephew and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior and continue until the 1:00 PM funeral service with Pastor Sarah Kerkes of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in Iron River City Cemetery in Iron River, WI.
