Jay A. Mcintyre

Jay Alan McIntyre, 58, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his home. He was born on October 13, 1966 in Manhattan, KS to Scott McIntyre and Susan (Arras) McIntyre.

Jay graduated from Superior Senior High School, Class of 1984. He attended UWS for 2 years, followed by a 38 year career at Upper Lakes Foods.  During his career, he had many job titles.  His favorite was Business Development Specialist.  On September 20, 1997, he married Kimberly Sue Johnson. They celebrated 27 years together.

Jay enjoyed relaxing on the patio with a good fire and music. Golf was a favorite pastime, and he was an avid Vikings fan. He loved spending vacations with his family in Arizona. He will be dearly missed by all who love him.

Jay is survived by his wife, Kimberly McIntyre, Duluth; son, Nathan Scott McIntyre, Duluth; dog, Chloe; mother, Susan McIntyre, Duluth; sister, Christine Rae, New York.

He was preceded in death by his father, Scott McIntyre; paternal grandparents, Chet and Mary McIntyre; and maternal grandmother, Darlyne (Arras) Kehoe.

A private family service will be held in Superior.

Friends and family are invited to share in a Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Jay’s Life from 2:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Barkers Island Inn, 300 Marina Drive in Superior.
