Jean Marie Faldet, 83, Superior resident, died Friday, June 14, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in Worthington, MN, December 1, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Josephine (Peters) Sorenson.
Jean graduated in 1955 from Worthington High School and attended Jr. College for a couple of years.
Jean married Maynard Faldet on April 19, 1958 and they celebrated twenty-eight years of marriage before his passing in 1986. She and Maynard owned and operated the Airmen’s Club Faldet’s Bar in Camp Douglas, WI and the Buckhorn in Gordon, WI. She also previously worked at Metro Credit Union for seventeen years.
She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and shrubs.
Jean is survived by her children, Susan chandler, Solon Springs, WI, Bradley (Gail) Faldet, Corpus Christie, TX, Dina (Dan Ryan) Conner, Suuperior, WI and Todd Faldet, Superior, WI; five grandchildren, Brian Chandler, Kristopher Faldet, James Conner, Allan Faldet and Lee Faldet; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Mitchell Faldet; one sister, Patricia Hawkinson, London, OH; two brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Sorenson, Worthington, MN and Charles Sorenson, Lake Crystal, MN.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Maynard; parents; and grandsons, Charles Allan and Erick Daniel Chandler.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
