Jean L. Hoff

Jean L. Hoff, 85, Superior, died peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Golden Living Center of Superior with her daughter Heidi by her side.

She was born on December 7, 1928 in Superior to Paul and Edith (Olander) Larson.

Jean graduated from high school in Superior.

She had been employed at Marshall-Wells Hardware in Duluth for many years. She was also employed as an office worker at Lakehead Pipeline.

She enjoyed reading and attending book sales at the Superior Library. She also enjoyed playing the penny machines at the casino and watching television as a pastime. She also was very fond of her cats, Kitty Candy, Boots, Tiger and Bunny Boo.

Jean is survived by one daughter, Heidi Hoff, Superior; one son, Jeff Missinne, Superior; one sister, Pauline Krolick, Milwaukee, WI; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin Joyce Hagberg, Duluth, MN and her longtime friend, Sandy Hartshorn, Superior.

Jean was a loving and caring mother who took pride in raising her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Heidi’s father, Warren Hoff in 2003 and Jeff’s father, Robert Missinne.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM and will continue until the 11:30 AM Memorial Service on Friday, April 11, 2014 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Kerkes, of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, officiating.
