Jeanette L. Albertus

Jeanette L. Albertus, 74, Superior, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 20, 1939 in Park Falls, WI to Kenneth and Loetta (Cain) Baldwin.

She married Roy "Ed" Albertus on June 12. 1960 and had celebrated thirty-nine years of marriage before his passing in 1999.

She graduated from Mason City High School in Iowa and went on to receive her associates degree in accounting from the Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Jeanette had been employed as a clerk at Woolworths in Ashland and later, as a secretary for the United States Forestry Department.

She attended Faith United Methodist Church.


She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, reading, traveling, playing bingo and the occasional visit to the casino.

Jeanette is survived by three daughters, Deborah Albertus, Merrill, WI, Tandy (Daniel) Otto, Ashland, WI; LoAnn Johnson, Washburn, WI; two sons, Eddie (Michelle) Albertus and Hank Albertus, both of Ashland, WI; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Pope, Osage, IA, Geraldine Welch, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband Roy; her parents; one brother, Butch Baldwin; one niece, Kathleen Hamilton and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until the 12 Noon Memorial Service on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Joel Certa-Werner, officiating.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
