Jeffrey "Jeff" S. Ford

January 21, 1964 — January 30, 2018

Jeffrey “Jeff” S. Ford, 54, lifelong Superior resident, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on January 21, 1964 in Superior, WI to John and Pauline (Dzelak) Ford.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1982. He served in the Army National Guard as Assist Ops Sergeant serving for sixteen years with the 724 th Engineers Battalion.

Jeff enjoyed playing pool, bowling, fishing, woodworking and biking. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Pauline Ford, Superior; one sister, Lori (James) Sackett, Foxboro, WI; special friend, Lynn Johnson, Minneapolis, MN and his faithful feline companion “Buddy”. He is preceded in death by his father John Ford and brother Chris Ford.

A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 th Street, Superior followed by Military Honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
