JoAnn Beauto, 73, lifelong Superior resident, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth. She was born on June 15, 1936 in Superior to Robert and Linnea (Wattman) DeMol.
She married Ray Beauto on July 30, 1960 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Superior and would have celebrated forty-nine years of marriage. JoAnn was a homemaker for most of her life except when she worked as a lab technician for Dr. Max Lavine from 1956 to 1961.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the St. Francis Travelers Club and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1190.
JoAnn enjoyed traveling around the country especially to Arizona in the winter time. She enjoyed her flowers and gazebo here in Superior. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Ray, JoAnn is survived by two sons, Rob (Jenifer) Beauto, Billings, MT, Jim (Michele) Beauto, South Range; one daughter, Wendy (Bob) Sellers, Kasson, MN; six grandchildren, Hunter and Emily Beauto, Mike and Joe Beauto and Allison and Taylor Sellers; one sister, Nancy (Tom) Nollet, South Range and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Evonne Belch.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian
Burial on Saturday, July 25, 2009 in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Rev. Fr. James Toboiski will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tom Belch, Tom Nollet, Mike Beauto, Joe
Beauto, Bob Sellers and Tony Beauto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic
Church, 2316 E. 4th St., Superior, WI, 54880.
