John A. Adamic

John A. Adamic, 58, Foxboro, WI resident, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 as a result from an automobile accident in Bear River Township in Minnesota.

He was born on October 30, 1955 in Duluth, MN to Edwin and Shirley (LeMay) Adamic. John served his country in the United States Navy.

He married Shirley Hoffman on October 9, 1980 in Hibbing, MN and recently celebrated thirty-three years of marriage.

John was the manager of T & J Gun and Pawn Shop in Cloquet, MN for over twenty-one years.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a great sense of humor with a memorable laugh. John was generous and helpful to everyone.

John is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Kristine (Lukas) Janiksela, Mahtowa, MN; his mother, Shirley Spolar, Oliver, WI; two brothers, Joseph (Kathy) Adamic, Prior Lake, MN and James Spolar, Jr., Virginia, MN; four sisters, Susan (Gary) Matschiner, Virginia, MN, Fern LeMay, Hibbing, MN, Lori (Dave) Swartz, Duluth, MN and Tammy (Steven) Gobats, Virginia, MN and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Jacob, father Edwin Adamic, stepfather James Spolar, Sr. and brother Edwin Adamic, Jr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.

Visitation will resume at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5821 John Avenue, Superior at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2013 and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Pastor Gary Garnatz officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Shane Jivery, Jeremy Nelson, Eric Spolar Gobats, Kenny Wickstrom, Fran Jivery, James Spolar, Jr. and Joseph Adamic with Darrel Koivunen recognized as an honorary pallbearer.
