John "Chic" T. Ciocarelli

John “Chic” T. Ciocarelli, 62, Esko, MN resident, died on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born on December 16, 1957 in Superior, WI to Russell and Mary (Quinn) Ciocarelli.

John graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1976. He served his country in the United States Air Force retiring after twenty years. He was employed as an analyst at United Health Care in Duluth for many years. John married Dawne Gorrill on August 21, 2010 and they would have celebrated ten years this summer.

He was a member of the ABATE organization in WI and MN. He loved riding his Harley, fundraising rides and pranking friends. His favorite saying “oh yeah” will never be forgotten, his favorite musician was Toby Keith, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Dawne; son, Jeremy (Nicole) Ciocarelli and daughter, Jennifer Ciocarelli, both of MO; grandchildren, Teagon and Kaden Ciocarelli, Nevaeh Opperman and Donte Fierro; sisters, Susan (Dale) Van Overmeiren and Annie (Thomas) Birdseye-Kyrola, both of Superior, WI and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Patrick Ciocarelli and sister Mary Kay Randell.

A Celebration of John’s Life and Time of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at 1115 E. County Road C, Superior, WI with a memorial service to be held at 12:30 PM with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
