John C. Ulven

John C. Ulven, 83, longtime resident of Superior, WI died peacefully, Surrounded by family Monday, March 7, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born in Superior, March 30, 1938, the son of Milford and Arlene (Hanson) Ulven.

John graduated high school and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army.

He started his career with the MN & CO Rural Electric Associations and later founded and served as President of Viking Utility Sales in Colorado for many years before relocating back to Superior.

John was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his sons, Terry (Melissa) Ulven, West Monroe, LA, and Tom (Jeanie) Ulven, Franktown, CO; and grandchildren, Samantha Albritton, Brianna Ulven, and RJ Ulven.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Pine Ridge Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
