John D. Witroski

John D. Witroski, 78, Superior resident, died Monday, April 30, 2018 in his home. He was born on April 3, 1940 in Superior, WI to Alvin and Regina (Rutkoski) Witroski.

John served his country in the United States Navy. He worked and lived in Minneapolis for over thirty years and was the Assistant Supervisor for Shamrock Printing Company in 2000.  John had a great love for dogs and throughout the years had many dogs that were rescue dogs.

John is survived by one daughter, Kim (John) Chalfen, Brooklyn Park, MN; two granddaughters, Caitlyn and Meagan, both of Brooklyn Park, MN; longtime friend, Rod Pearson, Elsworth, WI; niece, Wendy (Bruce) Brown, Maple, WI; nephew, Brian Witroski, Superior, WI and cousin, Jerry Carlson, Superior, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Francis who he loved very much.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior and continue until the 12:30 PM memorial service with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
