Jon M. Bristol

Jon Michael Bristol, Foxboro, 83, longtime resident of Foxboro, WI, died peacefully, Friday, September 3, 2021, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. Jon was born April 07, 1938, in Clinton, IA, the son of Guy L. and Alice M. (Graves) Bristol and has resided in Wisconsin since 1966.

He was a 1956 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Clinton, IA, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Economics from St. Ambrose college.

Jon married Marianne Boos on June 2, 1962, in Clinton, IA, and they celebrated fifty years of marriage before her passing in 2012.

He was employed with Saratoga Liquor for over twenty-five years before retiring as Vice President of Marketing.

Jon was a member of St William Catholic Church, Foxboro, WI where he participated in various activities and committees.

He enjoyed all sports, especially rooting for the Chicago Cubs and Bears, coin collecting, fishing and working on his computer, most particularly with genealogy.

Jon was a devoted family man and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Matthew (Pauline), Eau Claire, WI; daughter, Maria (Adam) Kettner, Wausau, WI; grandchildren, Maverick Jon and Elizabeth Mary (Ellie) Bristol and Reece Michael and Chase Matthew Kettner; sister-in-law Bonnie Bristol, El Paso, TX and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marianne; two brothers, Richard G. and Joseph Jay and sister, Dorothy J. Puzio; and his parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 10, 2021, at St. William Catholic Church, 3095 E. County Road B, Foxboro, WI and will continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.

Burial will take place in Clinton lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA.
