Joseph Robert Bednar Gustafson

Joseph Robert Bednar Gustafson, 39, lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at his home in Superior, WI. He was born in Duluth, MN on December 13, 1982, the son of Robert and Kim (Leone) Gustafson.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School and went on to attend Lake Superior College for autobody technician.

Joe was a major Packer fan and enjoyed hockey, hunting, fishing, working on cars, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving partner, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sara Fischer, Superior, WI; daughter, Isabella Gustafson, Superior, WI; parents, Robert (Kim) Gustafson, Wascott, WI; sister, Val (Mike) Russell, Lakeville, MN; nephews, Jordan Gustafson, and Caleb Russell, and his niece, Hannah Russell.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street in Superior.
