Joseph “Joe” R. Jondreau, 50, Solon Springs, WI resident, died Monday, November 23, 2020 in Stevens Point, WI. He was born on January 25, 1970 in Superior, WI to Ralph and Catherine (Johnson) Jondreau. He grew up in Brule, WI and attended Northwestern High School while excelling at Cross Country and Track and Field.
He proudly served with his brother, Kelly on the USS Saratoga Aircraft Carrier during the Gulf War. Joe worked as a locomotive engineer for the BNSF and CN railways since 1996.
He enjoyed spending time with his kids going fishing, camping, off-roading, watching action movies and throwing a football or baseball around the backyard. He was always willing to lend an ear and make light of any situation. He had a natural talent for brightening up a room and lifting the spirits of those around him. His laugh and sense of humor left an imprint on anyone that knew him. His passion in later years was riding his Harley any chance he got and loved riding in the Dakota’s/Black hills, almost as much as he loved the islands which he always planned on retiring to.
Joe is survived by one daughter, Anna Jondreau; eight sons, Mark, Dillin, Stewart, Leo and Odin Jondreau and Jake, Travis and Patrick Jr. Peterson; one brother, Kelly (Jennifer) Jondreau; mother, Catherine “Kay” Jondreau; his fiancé, Kari Peterson; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
