Joy Mae Haasis

Joy Mae Haasis, 91, longtime resident of Foxboro, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Villa Marina in Superior, WI, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 13, 1927 to Peter and Amanda (Porter) Paul.

She enjoyed a life raising her three children and being a homemaker for her family.

Joy was a member of the “Red Hat Ladies” and the Superior Skating Ladies.

She is survived by her sons, James (Cheryl) Haasis, Foxboro, WI and Louis (Sharon) Haasis, Springfield, IL; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Mitchell, Sarah, Nathan, Emily, Lacey, Chrissy and Amanda; nine great grandchildren, Ellie, Grey, Natalie, Louis, Evelyn, Logan, Adrian, Isabella and Zoella and her twin sister, Joyce Walls, Richfield, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband William, a son, Thomas, brother Roy Paul, three sisters, Ella, Mary Jean and Mabel and a daughter-in-law, Sue Haasis.

A celebration of life with a time of gathering will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.
