Joyce E. Bowser

Joyce E. Bowser, 84, lifelong resident of Superior, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, after complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on April 23, 1940, the daughter of John and Violet (Hill) Koukari.

Joyce was a longtime member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Superior and was also a part of the local Red Hat Society.

She loved to dance, travel, roller skate, and ski and would often enjoy these activities with her longtime companion, Bob Kyllonen.

Above all, Joyce was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be forever missed by her children Tami Kutzler, Superior, Sharon (Dale) Nummi, South Range, WI, Bonnie Hill, River Falls, WI, and Alan (Vickie) Bowser, Hastings, MN; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Judy Hurin.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you and appreciation to the staff at Dove Health Care and Essentia Hospice, for the wonderful care they provided for Joyce while in their care.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1924 Wyoming Avenue in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Sean Koos officiating.
