Joyce Cosgrove-Peterson

Joyce Cosgrove-Peterson, 86, Superior, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN.

She was born on February 14, 1925 in Superior to Clate and Delma (Drinkwine) Conner.

Joyce had been employed as a secretary at City Market from 1965 to 1990 and she also owned Pete’s Tower Mobil.

She was a member of the 50-50 Club in Gordon.

She loved to dance, roller skating and loved working in her flower garden.

Joyce is survived by one daughter, Mary Luzaich, Superior; three sons, Jim (Gwen) Cosgrove, Victoria, MN, Tom Cosgrove, Solon Springs, Tim (Carrie) Cosgrove, Superior; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bogan and Rosemary (Gary) Zanko; two brothers, Fred (Jeanine) Conner and Peter (Sandy) Conner and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward “Mickey” Cosgrove; her second husband, Martin “Pete” Peterson; a son Mike in 1980; a grandson Ben and a brother, Jim Conner.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci will be celebrant.

Burial will be in the Gordon Cemetery and the St. Francis Cemetery.
